Adele Wins Six Grammys Including Record of the Year

Adele returned to the Grammy stage for her first public performance following throat surgery and showed her pipes are just as amazing now as they were before she had to undergo surgery. Adele sang “Rolling in the Deep” and had the star-studded audience on their feet delivering one of the loudest and longest ovations of the evening. The 23 year old singer also added six Grammy Awards to the two she already won by the time the 54th Annual Grammy Awards drew to a close.

By winning six Grammys this year, Adele tied the record set by Beyoncé for the most Grammy Awards earned in a single year by a female artist. Adele’s wins came in the Record of the Year (“Rolling in the Deep”), Album of the Year (21), Song of the Year (“Rolling in the Deep”), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Someone Like You”), Best Pop Vocal Album (21), and Best Short Form Music Video (“Rolling in the Deep”) categories.
