FX has changed up their schedule a bit, shifting the scheduled seasons for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and Katrina: American Crime Story. The Katrina edition had been scheduled as American Crime Story‘s second season and the Gianni Versace installment was originally set to be the ACS franchise’s third season. However, FX just announced the two installments are swapping places.

According to FX, filming began on The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story in April, with the season now targeting an early 2018 premiere. Tom Rob Smith wrote the installment and Ryan Murphy directed the first episode. Versace: American Crime Story stars Darren Criss as serial killer Andrew Cunanan, Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace, Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace, and Ricky Martin as Antonio D’Amico.

Production on Katrina: American Crime Story will get underway in 2018. Annette Bening, Dennis Quaid, and Matthew Broderick are confirmed to star.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, season one of the limited series, aired in 2016 and earned nine Emmys as well as Golden Globe, Writers Guild, Producers Guild, and AFI awards.
