‘American Idol’ to Hold Auditions in 19 Cities

ABC’s revival of the singing competition series, American Idol, will air during the 2017-2018 primetime season with Katy Perry on board as one of the judges. The network’s just announced the dates and cities in which auditions will be held for the upcoming season, kicking off on August 17, 2017 in Orlando, Florida and Portland, Oregon. In total, 19 cities across America will host American Idol auditions including Miami, Denver, Chicago, and New Orleans.


ABC’s American Idol will also be allowing potential competitors to submit audition videos online via the show’s official website, www.americanidol.com. Singers can also show off their talent for a shot at a spot on the new season by posting on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Musical.ly using the hashtag #TheNextIdol.
