USA Network’s announced Emmy winner Anne Heche has joined the cast of the event series Dig coming to the network later this year. Heche will be joining Jason Isaacs in the thriller from co-creators/executive producers Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland).

Dig will film its six episodes in Jerusalem and other overseas locations.

Isaacs is set to play FBI detective Peter Connelly who’s working in Jerusalem. “While there, Connelly finds himself embroiled in a race to track down a religious artifact that could trigger an event that would change the course of history. During the search, he becomes the suspect in a sensational murder.”

Heche will play Lynn, Peter’s boss and the agent in charge of the Jerusalem FBI office. “She is also his only friend and occasional lover. Despite her sense of humor and soft side, Lynn is tough and isn’t afraid to take her team—including Peter—to task when they slip up.”

Heche’s credits include The Dead Will Tell, Save Me, Arthur Newman, Wag the Dog, Donnie Brasco, Cedar Rapids, Birth, Walking and Talking, Hung, Men in Trees, and Six Days, Seven Nights.
