Pasadena Creates ‘Big Bang Theory Alley’ in Honor of the Show’s 200th Episode

In addition to celebrating CBS’ The Big Bang Theory‘s 200th episode with a ‘The Big Bang Theory Day,’ Pasadena officials have created an honorary ‘Big Bang Theory Alley.’ Pasadena’s demonstrating its pride at being the setting for The Big Bang Theory with the honorary street sign which will be installed near City Hall. The cast of the hit comedy appeared on Conan and showed off the street sign for the first time.


The critically acclaimed half-hour comedy series will air its 200th episode tonight (February 25, 2016) with an episode featuring special guests Christine Baranski, Sara Gilbert, Wil Wheaton, and Batman’s Adam West. The series stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch. Now in its ninth season, The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT.

“The City of Pasadena is proud of its comedic and scientific association with The Big Bang Theory,” Pasadena Councilmember Andy Wilson said. “Pasadena was already known throughout the world for having the foremost astronomers, chemists and scientific thinkers who do very serious work here, but thanks to The Big Bang Theory, being smart in Pasadena is now fun too.”
