The Black Keys released their seventh full-length album, El Camino, on December 6, 2011. El Camino debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and is now certified RIAA Gold. The group’s currently touring the US.
Commenting on his job as house DJ for the show, Solveig said, “I am both a movie freak and a guy who enjoys mixing music and image to give his videos a cinematographic feel. It’s only natural that I jumped at the chance of performing at the ‘MTV Movie Awards’ when they offered me the opportunity. MTV’s legendary ability to showcase both music and cinema definitely makes the event impossible to miss!”
This year’s awards show, which will feature new footage from The Dark Knight Rises, will find Emma Stone named as the recipient of the first-ever MTV Trailblazer Award. Stone was chosen for “carving out a unique and diverse Hollywood path through her varied and rich array of theatrical roles.”
Confirmed celebs who’ll be on hand to present at the MTV Movie Awards include Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Adam Sandler, Emma Watson, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg.
