The animated comedy series Bob’s Burgers has earned a sixth season from Fox, with the network giving the popular series an order for 22 new episodes. The renewal news doesn’t come as much of a surprise as the series earned an Emmy Award in 2014 and improved its ratings by 60% over season four’s finale.

“We can’t help but love the Belcher family. This gem of a series is a rare feel-good blend of sharp wit and genuine heart that fans and critics alike have continued to love throughout its five seasons on FOX,” stated Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs, Fox Television Group. “We are proud of Loren and Jim and the extremely talented voice cast who bring these unique characters to life with both humor and charm each week. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for Season Six.”

Bob’s Burgers comes from the creative mind of Loren Bouchard who serves as an executive producer and writer. Jim Dauterive also writes and executive produces the award-winning series.

The Plot:

Bob’s Burgers follows the ups and downs of Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), who runs Bob’s Burgers with the help of his wife, Linda (John Roberts), and their three kids, Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman) and Louise (Kristen Schaal). Despite the greasy counters and lousy location, Bob and his family are determined to make the business, and their everyday lives, a success.
