The cop comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher has gotten a full 22 episode season one order by Fox, with the network brass just adding nine episodes to its initial order. Fox also has given the rookie comedy series a prime spot after Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014.

“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do,” stated Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”

The first few episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine have been averaging 4.9 million viewers. The show features Samberg playing a goof-off cop who would be in serious trouble if he wasn’t so good at his job – when he actually puts his mind to it. Braugher plays the new police captain who tries to change Samberg’s ways.
