Carrie Underwood, P!nk, and Pitbull have joined Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Linkin Park and Christina Aguilera as performers on the 2012 American Music Awards set for November 18th. ABC’s broadcasting the music event that will take place at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and air live on the East Coast at 8pm ET.
Voting for the winners is now open at amavote.com. Among this year’s categories are Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, and Contemporary Inspirational. And for the very first time in AMA history, artists will be honored in the Electronic Dance Music category.
Lance Bass, Kimberly Cole, Brad Goreski, Sean Kingston, Eden Sher, and Tristan Wilds will be hosting the pre-show live online at ABC.com beginning at 5pm ET.
