CBS Gives Four New Dramas Full First Season Orders

CBS is so satisfied with the ratings of its new drama series that the network’s given full season orders to four new shows. NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, Madam Secretary, and Stalker have all received full season pickups. Announcing the full season orders, CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler said, “These four shows have had an immediate impact on our schedule by improving nights, winning time periods and adding more hours of success across our primetime lineup.”

According to CBS, NCIS: New Orleans starring Scott Bakula and Scorpion with Elyses Gabel and Katharine McPhee are ranked one and two among new fall shows. The network also says three of the four series that just received full-season orders are in the top 15 of all primetime programs.

NCIS: New Orleans has been averaging 18.16 million viewers and is second only to NCIS in all broadcast dramas. Scorpion is ranked second with 15.17 million viewers on average tuning in to the series which is based on true events.

Madam Secretary starring Tea Leoni is ranked fourth among new series with 13.53 million viewers while Stalker with Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott has been winning its time period, bringing in 9.49 million viewers on Wednesday at 10pm ET/PT.
