Queer Eye topped the list of winners of the first Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards, earning four awards including Ensemble Cast and Structured Series. The Late Late Show with James Corden was the only other series to earn multiple awards at the inaugural Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards recognizing the best in nonfiction, unscripted, and reality TV.

The new awards show is presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) and NPACT. Winners were announced on June 2, 2019 during a celebrity-filled gala held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards hosted by comedian Loni Love will air on VH1 on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Netflix easily led the pack with the most wins, taking home nine awards. CBS, CBS Television/Syndicated, Lifetime, NBC, and PBS earned two wins each during the first-ever Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards.

In addition to honoring the best in reality TV, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and NPACT recognized Leah Remini with its first Impact Award. The special honor was given to acknowledge “her work on her groundbreaking series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.”
