Filming will get underway on the new Syfy series Dark Matter in early January 2015 and today the network’s announced the show’s cast. Per the network, Melissa O’Neil, Marc Bendavid, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr., Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer.
Dark Matter is based on the graphic novel by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie who are on board the series as executive producers. Season one will consist of 13 one-hour episodes and Syfy’s aiming for a summer 2015 series premiere.
The Dark Matter Plot:
In Dark Matter, the crew of a derelict spaceship is awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal and hidden secrets.
