Lisa Loeb’s seventh album will arrive on February 5, 2013 according to 429 Records. No Fairy Tale is described as a “poppy-punky-rock album” that features collaborations with Tegan and Sara (she recorded two songs with the indie artists), Hello Goodbye, Morgan Taylor, Maia Sharp and Marvin Etzioni.
Discussing working with the album’s co-producer Chad Gilbert, Loeb said, “He’s a tattoo-ed up post-punk rocker and I’m known more as a singer/songwriter with glasses, which may seem like an unlikely pair, but it totally makes sense. He brought a whole new angle to my music and it was great to work with many of the musicians he works with down in Orange County (California).”
And in addition to the upcoming album, Loeb’s been busy working on her second children’s book Lisa Loeb’s Songs for Moving and Shaking set for release on April 2, 2013.
