Viggo Mortensen and Willie Nelson Participate in ‘American Road Trip’

Viggo Mortensen, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Raoul Trujillo, Daryl Hannah, and Gary Sinise are among the celebrities who are part of the Documentary Channel’s 2nd Annual ‘American Road Trip’ this July. The documentary film series features stories from across the U.S., kicking off on July 1 at 8pm with Wild Horses & Renegades.

Also airing as part of the American Road Trip series are Gary Sinise’s Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good on July 15th and the US television premiere of director Damon Ristau’s The Bus on July 29th.

American Road Trip Details:

Wild Horses & Renegades: “An eye-opening film confronting the debacle of wild horse management in Western federal lands, Wild Horses & Renegades features passionate interviews with Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Viggo Mortensen, Raoul Trujillo, Daryl Hannah, and Dances with Wolves author Michael Blake as they join with former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and Representative Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) to call attention to the purposeful extinction of America’s wild horse population.”

Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good: “From director Jonathan Flora, the film shares the inspiring story of actor Gary Sinise and his vow to never forget those Americans who lost their lives on 9/11. Following Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band in performances for US men and women in uniform, Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good honors their remarkable efforts to support the heroic first responders, their families, and the wonderful citizens that support them.”

The Bus: “The Bus is the entertaining story of the Volkswagen Bus, a vehicle synonymous with freedom, love, friendship, breakdowns, and adventure.”
