‘Elementary’ Heads to London for Season 2

Elementary Season 2 Premiere

The cast and crew of Elementary will be heading to London to shoot the season two premiere. CBS says the drama series will be on the road in England for the first episode of the series starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, marking the first episode of the show not shot in New York.

Filming is expected to take place in July.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have this opportunity to see Sherlock’s old stomping grounds and take a closer look at a life that, until now, we’ve only been able to glimpse through the lens of his recovery,” stated Executive producer and creator Robert Doherty. “By meeting old friends and revisiting prior cases, Watson will gain even more insight into Holmes. She’ll have to keep up with a Sherlock who is both more comfortable in his surroundings and even bolder in testing the limits of those around him.”

Season one of Elementary averaged 12.88 million viewers.

Details on the Season 2 Premiere:

In the second season premiere episode, Sherlock Holmes is called to London to revisit an old case and, while doing so, is forced to face his past. Meanwhile, Watson learns more about Holmes’ mysterious life and the company he kept before he left for New York.

Elementary Plot:

Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as eccentric, mischievous detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson, a former surgeon turned sober companion. Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, Sherlock escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare – a sobriety coach. Now running free in New York solving crimes, it’s simple deduction that he’s going to need someone to keep him grounded, and it’s elementary that it’s a job for Watson.

Aidan Quinn stars as Capt. Thomas Gregson, who knows from previous experience working with Scotland Yard that Sherlock is brilliant at closing cases, along with Jon Michael Hill, who portrays Det. Marcus Bell, a top-notch investigator who is initially skeptical of Holmes and his unorthodox methods.
