ABC Renews Extreme Weight Loss Again

ABC is bringing back the TV reality series Extreme Weight Loss for a fourth season. Season four will consist of 13 new two-hour episodes, with filming on the next season currently taking place. Meanwhile, season three is airing on Tuesday nights at 8pm.

Extreme Weight Loss offers “a unique, non-competitive show about weight loss that documents the unprecedented 365-day journeys of courageous, ‘super obese’ people.” Trainer Chris Powell works with the series’ chosen participants, guiding them through a life-changing transformation over the course of 365 days. And in the upcoming season, “each participant will spend the first 90 days of his or her weight loss journey at the renowned University of Colorado’s Anschutz Health and Wellness Center in Aurora, CO.”

Anschutz Health and Wellness Center’s medical director, Dr. Holly Wyatt, M.D., is joining with Chris Powell to safely help the participants lose up to half their weight.
