AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead finished up the first half of its second season with an episode that left viewers wondering if we’d seen the last of a few key characters (no spoilers here in case you’re not caught up). Fans will not be able to find out for sure who is definitely dead and who will be leaving the group for more than an episode or two until the show returns for the second half of season two on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT.

The network broke the return date news during the Talking Dead show which aired immediately after the mid-season finale on May 22, 2016.

Fear the Walking Dead‘s season two has eight one-hour episodes still left to air. The second season kicked off with an episode that brought in 8.8 million viewers and the show’s sitting in the #2 spot among cable series (only The Walking Dead is ranked higher) this season. Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert, with Erickson serving as the showrunner. The cast includes Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris, and Colman Domingo as Strand.

The Second Half Plot: As Fear The Walking Dead embarks on the second half of season two, the Clark, Manawa and Salazar families fracture. The events that took place at the Abigail compound have set all of our heroes adrift. Now they must forge their own paths to survive.
