Channing Tatum, Zooey Deschanel to Host SNL

NBC just announced the hosts for the next two new Saturday Night Live episodes, and two newbies have been tapped for hosting gigs. Channing Tatum, soon to be seen in Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire, will host on February 4, 2012. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel will be making her inaugural appearance as host on February 11, 2012. Why haven’t either of these two hosted before?
 
Joining Tatum on the February 4th episode will be musical guest Bon Iver. The group’s second album, the self-titled Bon Iver, dropped in June and they received two Grammy nominations for the single, “Holocene.”
 
The musical act on February 11th will be Karmin, also making their first appearance on the show.
