Bill Burr’s Set to Star in ‘Pariah’ at FX

FX Moves Forward on Pariah

The comedy series Pariah from John and Dave Chernin (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is moving forward at FX. The network’s just announced a pilot order of the show set to star Bill Burr and with Rob McElhenney on board to direct. RCG Productions, the production company of McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton, is executive producing.

“Bill Burr is a great comedic talent,” said Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. “Teaming Bill with Rob, Charlie and Glenn, along with John and Dave is a perfect recipe for a terrific comedy pilot.”

“I am really looking forward to making a show with Rob, Dave, John, Charlie and Glenn,” said Burr. “I’ve been a big fan of Sunny since the beginning of their amazing run. I feel very lucky to be working with them.”

The Plot:

After an on-air meltdown, volatile TV personality “Joe Abbott” (Burr) is exiled from show business and forced to navigate society as a man with no apparent skills.
