HBO Sets ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Silicon Valley,’ ‘Veep’ 2016 Premiere Date

Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and Veep will return for their new seasons on Sunday, April 24, 2016 as just announced by HBO. Game of Thrones will kick off the Sunday night lineup at 9pm ET/PT followed by Silicon Valley at 10:00pm and Veep at 10:30pm.


Game of Thrones‘ sixth season will consist of 10 hour-long episodes. The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s bestselling “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series, with David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger, and Bernadette Caulfield executive producing. The huge ensemble cast for season five included Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.

Silicon Valley‘s 10 episode third season stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer and Jimmy O. Yang. Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky created the series, and Judge, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg and Tom Lassally executive produce.

Veep‘s fifth season has Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus back as President Selina Meyer. The cast also includes Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Sam Richardson and Hugh Laurie.
