HBO Sets Girls and Enlightened Return Dates

HBO says they’ll premiere season two of the comedy series Girls created by and starring Lena Dunham on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT. The series is executive produced by Dunham, Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner, and earned five Emmy nominations for its first season. The critically acclaimed show won in the Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series category.
 
HBO also announced the return of Enlightened for season #2. Starring Laura Dern, the 10 episode season two will premiere immediately following Girls on January 13th. Dern also executive produces the comedy which is written and directed by her co-star Mike White. Dern picked up a 2012 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical for her work in the HBO series.
 
Enlightened “tells the story of an ambitious executive at a global conglomerate, who returns to her fractured life after a humiliating public breakdown, determined to lead a more enlightened existence. But her newfound noble intentions only ratchet up the drama, wreaking unexpected havoc on those around her.”
