Newcomers Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist have been added to the cast of Fox’s musical comedy/drama series, Glee. Geyer and Artist landed the parts following a nationwide search, with 26 year old Geyer’s resume including a stint on the Australian TV series Neighbours and a guest starring role on Terra Nova. He was also a contestant on Australian Idol.
New Yorker Artist was featured on Melissa & Joey and starred in the TV movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.
Season four of Glee kicks off on September 13, 2012.
Per Fox, Geyer will be playing a handsome upperclassman who is interested in Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). Artist is set to play Puck’s (Mark Salling) half-brother who tries out for the glee club.
The Plot:
Entering its fourth season, Glee is a musical comedy about a group of ambitious and talented kids who escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club where they find strength, acceptance and ultimately their voice. This year, the senior class is riding high from their Nationals win and enjoying a bit of popularity, while the graduating class leaves the comforts of McKinley for the cruel streets of New York as they open a new chapter and continue chasing their dreams.
