Netflix Greenlights ‘Gypsy’ Series from Writer Lisa Rubin

Netflix announced it’s moving forward on a new original scripted series from writer Lisa Rubin. Gypsy, described as a psychological thriller, will be executive produced by Rubin, Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner, with Universal Television and Working Title producing.

Season one will air in 2017 and will consist of 10 one-hour episodes.

The Gypsy Plot: “Gypsy follows the journey of Jean Holloway – a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.”

Gypsy joins the expanding list of original Netflix series that includes Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Marvel’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Love.
