Hallmark wants a lot more of The Good Witch and they’ll be getting it with a new series based on the character Cassie Nightingale played by Catherine Bell and created by Rod Spence. Hallmark Channel announced they’ve greenlit an original The Good Witch scripted series that will shoot in Canada and will air in 2015.

The Good Witch stands as Hallmark’s most successful movie franchise to date. Six films have aired and a seventh (The Good Witch’s Wonder) will premiere on October 25, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT.

“From the moment the first film in The Good Witch series premiered, we knew audiences would fall in love with Catherine Bell and this character and want to see more of her,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. “The Good Witch franchise has consistently delivered top ratings with the airing of every film, and we expect the highly-anticipated TV series to deliver even more success.”

“Our audience will be so excited to hear this news. Catherine has been one of the most sought-after talents in our industry, and now she has a weekly home on Hallmark Channel,” added Vicary.

Orly Adelson, Jonathan Eskenas, Frank Siracusa, and Craig Pryce are on board as executive producers, with Catherine Bell co-executive producing.
