Cedric the Entertainer’s ‘Reverend Boyce’ character from Hot in Cleveland is getting his own series, with TV Land ordering 12 episodes of the new sitcom Have Faith. The series, which was created by Cedric and Hot in Cleveland creator Suzanne Martin, will make its debut in June.

TV Land President Larry W. Jones made the announcement, stating, “The show that Cedric and Suzanne have created is a fantastic family sitcom that you just don’t see as much on TV today. That’s just one of the reasons we’re so thrilled to welcome him to the TV Land family. From the moment he appeared on Hot in Cleveland, we knew we wanted to work with him in a greater capacity.”

Have Faith, according to TV Land, will revolve around “Cedric’s character, Reverend Boyce ‘The Voice’ Ballentine, an R&B superstar-turned-minister who takes over as preacher of his father’s church.”

In addition to Cedric the Entertainer, Have Faith also features Niecy Nash as the reverend’s wife, Lolli, John Beasley as his father, Wesley Jonathan as his younger brother, and Jazz Raycole as his daughter.
