‘Homeland’ and ‘The Affair’ Renewed by Showtime

With two more episodes to go in the current season, both Homeland and The Affair have received renewal orders from Showtime. The Affair will return for a third season in 2016 and Homeland will be back for season six next year.


Homeland season five airs on Sunday nights at 9pm ET/PT and stars Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Nina Hoss, Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham, Sebastian Koch, Miranda Otto, Alexander Fehling and Sarah Sokolovic. The series is based on Prisoners of War by Gideon Raff and is executive produced by Raff, Alexander Cary, Chip Johannessen, Lesli Linka Glatter, Meredith Stiehm, Avi Nir, Ran Telem, and Patrick Harbinson.

Season two of The Affair starring Dominic West, Ruth Wilson, Maura Tierney, and Joshua Jackson airs on Sundays at 10pm. Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi created the series and executive produce along with Anya Epstein and Jeffrey Reiner. The final episodes of this season will reveal who actually killed Scotty Lockhart (guest star Collin Donnell).

Homeland Final Season 5 Episodes:

Carrie Mathison (Danes) and Saul Berenson (Patinkin) race to stop a terrorist attack on Berlin, after Carrie and Astrid (Hoss) found Quinn (Friend) barely alive from being tortured by the terrorists planning the attack.
