Emmy nominated actor Ian McShane has signed on to a guest starring role in Showtime’s dramatic series Ray Donovan. McShane’s addition brings about a Deadwood cast reunion as his co-star from that series, Paula Malcomson, is a regular on Ray Donovan.

Showtime says McShane will be playing Malcolm Finney, “a prominent movie producer and billionaire who hires Ray to get his family out of a potentially catastrophic situation, eventually forming a very powerful relationship with one another.”

Filming’s expected to begin in LA on the 12-episode third season next week. McShane joins a cast led by Liev Schreiber and featuring Jon Voight, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Devon Bagby.

The Plot:

Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, Ray Donovan stars two-time Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber as L.A.’s best professional fixer, the man called in to make the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls’ most complicated and combustible situations go away.

In season two of this powerful drama, Ray’s life erupted when the FBI, his father Mickey (Voight), and his own family slip out of his control, testing his roles as protector, provider and patriarch like never before.
