Nickelodeon Renews ‘Instant Mom’ for Season Two

Nickelodeon has added six additional episodes to season one of Instant Mom and has renewed the series for a second season. The comedy series stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict and airs on both Nick at Nite and NickMom.

Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production, announced the renewal, stating: “In just a couple months since its debut, Instant Mom has resonated remarkably well with the Nick at Nite and NickMom audiences. We’re thrilled to witness its early success alongside See Dad Run and families enthusiastic about Tia and an undeniably charismatic cast.”

Since its September 29, 2013 premiere, Instant Mom has been averaging 1.2 million viewers.

The Plot:

The series follows Stephanie as she struggles to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life while managing being a full-time stepmom. Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha) stars as Stephanie’s mother Maggie, and rounding out the cast are Charlie’s three kids played by Sydney Park, Tylen Jacob Williams, and Damarr Calhoun.
