Mule Films announced filming is now underway in Los Angeles on It’s Not You, It’s Me. The independent relationship comedy is written and directed by Nathan Ives and stars Joelle Carter, Vivica A Fox, Ross McCall, Beth Littleford, Erick Avari, and Maggie Wheeler. It’s Not You also features Daniel Berson, Jake Elliott, Alina Foley, Darin Heames, Ary Katz, Abby Miller, Amber Seyer, Alex Petrovitch, Gabriel Voss, and Jessica York.

“I am very much looking forward to working with this extraordinary cast and seeing their chemistry against the backdrop of Los Angeles,” said director Ives. “Shooting so close to home is a dream come true. It’s the perfect setting, creatively, for this story to play out.”

The Plot:

It’s Not You, It’s Me tells the story of Dave, a 30-something commitment-phobe, who breaks up with the love of his life thanks to conflicting advice from his outrageous, inner voices. Under pressure, he says the only thing he can think of to soften the blow, “It’s not you, it’s me.” Unfortunately, his near perfect, now ex-girlfriend Carrie has her own inner voices and they’re pushing her to move on with the next love of her life. Dave has to quickly come to terms with the fact that there may be some truth to his break-up line before she becomes, “the one that got away.”
