TMZ broke the news that one of the final 12 contestants on American Idol did not disclose his criminal past. The Hollywood Reporter says Jermaine Jones, who was brought back in a twist on the format that allowed the judges to save a contestant who initially didn’t make the final cut, concealed multiple crimes from the AI producers and will be leaving the show tonight.
THR says Jones confirmed the news on his Twitter (the account was later deleted), saying:
Awww I will no longer b on the show.”
TMZ says Jones concealed the fact he has multiple warrants out for his arrest and that he was charged with two crimes in 2011.
The drama will all play out on American Idol tonight at 8pm on Fox.
