Joe Manganiello’s first directorial effort has found a distributor with Main Street Films. Manganiello, best known for playing a sexy werewolf in True Blood and ‘Big Dick Richie’ in Magic Mike, turns his attention on the male strip club La Bare Dallas in the documentary La Bare. His production company (3:59 Inc.) produced the documentary with Shaun Redick and Ray Mansfield of Movie Package Company executive producing.
Dancers featured in the film actually showed up to lend their support to the film’s sold-out Slamdance premiere. Craig Chang and Harrison Kordestani of Main Street Films were also at the premiere and snatched up the film for a six-figure deal right after the credits rolled. Terms of the deal include a guaranteed US theatrical run in at least 20 markets this summer.
