Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games Peeta Mellark) will be a guest judge on Syfy’s Face Off this season. Hutcherson is scheduled to judge on episode three of season eight, “Let the Games Begin,” on January 27, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT.

Hutcherson will help The Hunger Games‘ head of makeup Ve Neill judge the Face Off contestants as they create “cinema-inspired deadly predator creature designs.”

Other guest judges set to appear this season are Oscar winner Rick Baker (Men in Black, American Werewolf in London), Maleficent‘s director Robert Stromberg (as a production designer he earned two Oscars), and sound designer Erik Aadahl (Argo, World War Z, Godzilla). Actor Doug Jones (Hellboy, Falling Skies), Oscar-winning makeup artist Lois Burwell (Braveheart), legendary horror director Clive Barker (Hellraiser), and former Marvel artist Todd McFarlane are also confirmed to help judge this season.

Season eight of Syfy’s competition series will debut on January 13, 2015 at 9pm. As a new twist, this season will find three champions from past seasons – Laura Tyler, Anthony Kosar, and Rayce Bird – choosing teams and coaching throughout the season.
