Great news for fans of the cult classic series Twin Peaks: Kyle MacLachlan has been confirmed to reprise his role as FBI Agent Dale Cooper in the Showtime limited series. Original series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are writing the new Twin Peaks, with Lynch also involved as director. Lynch and Frost are also executive producing the dramatic series.
Showtime’s aiming for a 2016 premiere of Twin Peaks and filming’s expected to take place this year. Leading up to the series’ premiere, Showtime will be airing the first two seasons of the groundbreaking series.
Set in the present day, Twin Peaks will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers for the series’ passionate fan base.
