Oprah sat with Lance Armstrong for two and a half hours of what’s described as a no-holds-barred interview, and given the amount of material provided by that lengthy interview Oprah’s Next Chapter “Oprah and Lance Armstrong: The Worldwide Exclusive” will now be a two-night event.

The Lance Armstrong interview will air on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network on Thursday, January 17 from 9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT and Friday, January 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It will also stream on Oprah.com simultaneously with the show.

The interview with Armstrong marks his first since being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles. He’s been banned from competing professionally and in 2012 he stepped down from being chairman of the Livestrong foundation he created to fight cancer. The interview is expected to include an admission he used performance-enhancing drugs throughout his long career.

Armstrong’s been described as a bully, threatening anyone who suggested he used drugs. If he did in fact admit to the use of drugs, he could wind up being the target of multiple new lawsuits.
