Katy Perry, Yolanda Be Cool Appear on the Madagascar 3 Soundtrack

Madagascar 3 SoundtrackReady to move it, move it? Interscope Records just revealed details of DreamWorks Animation SKG’s Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted ‘s soundtrack set to drop on June 5th. Katy Perry’s “Firework” is featured on the soundtrack and Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP’s #1 dance number “We No Speak Americano” has also found its way onto the soundtrack of this family-friendly animated animal adventure.

According to Interscope Records, Oscar winner Hans Zimmer contributes “New York City Surprise,” “Game On,” “Light the Hoop On Fire!,” “Fur Power!,” and “Rescue Stefano” to the Madagascar 3 soundtrack while Peter Asher performs “Love Always Comes As a Surprise” and voice cast member Frances McDormand sings Edith Piaf’s “Non, je ne regrette rien (No, I have no regrets).” King Julien covers C + C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” Spice Girls’ “Wannabe,” and Nelly’s “Hot In Herre,” and collaborates with Marty (voiced by Chris Rock) on a mash-up of “Afro Circus” and Reel 2 Real’s “I Like To Move It” for new track “Afro Circus/I Like To Move It.”

Madagascar 3, featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric The Entertainer, Jessica Chastain, Bryan Cranston, and Frances McDormand, hits theaters on June 8.

The Plot:

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted finds Central Park Zoo’s most notorious crew of animated characters – led by Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer), and Gloria the Hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith)- continuing their endless voyage home to New York. This time they take over and reinvent a down-and-out circus traveling across Europe, hiding out, doing death defying tricks (perfect for 3D), and making new friends.

Along for the adventure in Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted are Sacha Baron Cohen (as King Julien), Cedric The Entertainer (as Maurice), Andy Richter (as Mort), Jessica Chastain (as Gia), Bryan Cranston (as Vitaly), Martin Short (as Stefano), and Frances McDormand as Captain Chantal DuBois.
