New ‘Making a Murderer’ Episodes in the Works

The critically acclaimed documentary series Making a Murderer will be expanded into a second season featuring brand new episodes. Netflix announced that production is currently underway on the follow-up episodes of the docuseries which earned six Emmy Award nominations including Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series. Season two will focus on the post-conviction process and reunites executive producers/directors Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi for an in-depth look at what’s taken place following the release of Making a Murderer. The new episodes will feature Steven Avery’s lawyer Kathleen Zellner and Brendan Dassey’s legal team led by Steve Drizin and Laura Nirider.

Details on Season 2: “The new installments will take fans of the acclaimed documentary series back inside the story of convicted murderer Steven Avery, and his co-defendant, Brendan Dassey, as their respective investigative and legal teams challenge their convictions and the State fights to have the convictions and life sentences upheld.”
