Mandy Moore fans hoping to see her on the small screen are out of luck. Moore has pulled out of the ABC series Pulling, a comedy about three dysfunctional 30ish women.

The series is directed by Pitch Perfect‘s Jason Moore and is based on the 2006 British series. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher) are handling the script duties.

Moore left the show after plans for her character, Louise, went off in a different direction than originally indicated. Moore was quoted as saying: “Many things change quickly as a pilot moves into production. And in this case, Lee and Gene moved the character in a different direction, it was clear this wasn’t right for me. Rather than jeopardize the show, I asked to step aside. They and ABC were very accommodating, and wish them all the best in the fall. It’s a terrific show that worked so well in the UK, I hope it gets the audience it deserves here.”

Burning Love star June Diane Raphael is currently attached to star in the series.
