Mark Wahlberg Tapped to Host the Kids’ Choice Awards

Mark Wahlberg, currently seen on the big screen in Lone Survivor, will be entertaining a younger audience as the host of Nickelodeon’s 27th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. The 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards marks Wahlberg’s first time hosting the annual awards show which is best known for sliming A-list celebrities.
 
“We are thrilled to welcome a superstar like Mark Wahlberg as he takes the helm as our master of ceremonies at the biggest kid event of the year,” said Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production. “We can’t wait for him to host and have lots of slime-filled fun with Hollywood’s biggest stars and our audience.”
 
The Kids’ Choice Awards will air live on Nickelodeon on March 29th at 8pm ET (tape delayed on the West Coast).
