Freeform’s upcoming new series Marvel’s New Warriors has finished casting as just announced by the network, Marvel Television, and ABC Signature Studios. Marvel’s New Warriors is based on the Marvel comics and is Marvel’s first live-action comedy television series. Freeform’s targeting a 2018 primetime premiere.
Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us, Silicon Valley), Derek Theler (Baby Daddy), Jeremy Tardy (Dear White People, Ten Days in the Valley), Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally, Cassandra French’s Finishing School), Matthew Moy (2 Broke Girls, Steven Universe) and Kate Comer (Hello My Name is Doris, The Comeback) are confirmed in starring roles. Cougar Town‘s Kevin Biegel is the showrunner and will executive produce along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
“I am thrilled beyond belief to be working with this incredible group of actors. They are funny, sincere, eager, charming and perfectly embody these characters. It’ll be a blast and an honor to create this show with each of them,” said Biegel.
“We’re so lucky to have assembled such a diverse and incredibly talented cast,” added executive producer Loeb. “We can’t wait for the fans to see what’s in store when we unleash these iconic characters into the world!”

Derek Theler as Craig Hollis a.k.a Mister Immortal

Jeremy Tardy as Dwayne Taylor a.k.a Night Thrasher
Brilliant and noble, and maybe a bit full of himself, Dwayne is a shameless self-promoter and entrepreneur who also deeply believes in justice.
Calum Worthy as Robbie Baldwin a.k.a Speedball
Robbie is an impulsive people-pleaser with a misplaced sense of confidence who throws kinetic balls of energy that are completely out of control.
Matthew Moy as Zack Smith a.k.a. Microbe
Zack is a shy hypochondriac whose ability is that he can talk to germs that tell him where you’ve been, what you ate and with whom you’ve hung out. It’s impossible to keep secrets around him.
Kate Comer as Deborah Fields a.k.a. Debrii
Deborah is proud, funny and quick-witted. A low-level telekinetic, very low like she can move a paper cup.
The Plot: Marvel’s New Warriors is about six young people with powers living and working together. With powers and abilities on the opposite end of the spectrum of The Avengers, the New Warriors want to make a difference in the world … even if the world isn’t ready. Not quite super, not yet heroes, Marvel’s New Warriors is about that time in your life when you first enter adulthood and feel like you can do everything and nothing at once – except in this world, bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates.
