Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera will be taking a break from NBC’s The Voice and actress/singer Miley Cyrus and 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys will be joining the singing competition series as judges for season 11. With Cyrus and Keys on board, season 11 will be the first season of the series to have two female coaches at the same time. The women have usually been outnumbered 3-to-1, but when season 11 debuts in September 2016 it’ll be with two men and two women seated in the spinning chairs.

Cyrus and Keys will be attempting to lure talented singers to their teams, competing against veteran The Voice coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who’ve been with the show since season one. Keys mentored The Voice contestants during season seven and Cyrus is helping out all four teams this season.

“The musical expertise and energy these two incredibly talented women will bring to the show is remarkable,” stated Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We’re thrilled that they’ll be joining Adam and Blake in what we know will be a magical 11th season.”

Season 10 has been averaging 15.4 million viewers and has ranked in the top two on Mondays and Tuesdays among adults 18-49.
