MTV Announces Their Top 10 Movies of 2013 List

MTV’s annual Movie Awards usually have nothing in common with the choices made by critics, entertainment publications, or guilds. In fact, their movie awards show earned the nickname of the Twilight Awards because whenever a sparkling vampire movie was released, MTV showered it with nominations. However, they take their year-end Best Of lists a bit more seriously. But that doesn’t mean the MTV list is going to match any other Top 10 list from a major network, publication, or group of critics. Not many lists include World War Z and Iron Man 3 as two of the top 10 movies of the year.

2. This Is the End
3. Wolf of Wall Street
4. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
5. Iron Man 3
6. 12 Years a Slave
7. American Hustle
8. Spring Breakers
9. World War Z
10. The World’s End
 
MTV also announced Miley Cyrus is MTV’s Best Artist of 2013 and Pope Francis and Lorde are 2013’s Man and Woman of the Year.
