Actress Nadine Velazquez has been tapped to become a series regular on TNT’s drama series, Major Crimes. Velazquez, currently seen on the big screen in Snitch starring Dwayne Johnson, will be playing a Deputy D.A. named Emma Rios in the TNT series.
According to TNT, Velazquez’ character is a D.A. newly assigned to the Phillip Stroh case. Per the network: “Emma interviews Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) about his involvement as a key witness in the murder case. She immediately causes a stir within the department, coming into conflict with Captain Raydor (Mary McDonnell) when she questions Raydor’s intentions as Rusty’s guardian and challenges her authority.”
In addition to Snitch, Velazquez’ credits include Flight, My Name is Earl, The League, and Hart of Dixie.
