Well, that didn’t take long. NBC will be pulling Animal Practice from the lineup as of November 7th and will be inserting Whitney in its place. NBC officially announced that Whitney will be returning to the schedule for its second season premiere on November 14, 2012.

Animal Practice featured Weeds‘ Justin Kirk, Tyler Labine, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and an adorable scene-stealing monkey. After starting off strong, the series continued to lose viewers in its Wednesday timeslot, leaving the door open for the return of Whitney, which was supposed to be back on October 19th until NBC adjusted their schedule and bumped its season two premiere.

More on Whitney:

Whitney Cummings stars in the title role in the multi-camera series which is a look at modern-day love and relationships that centers around Whitney (Cummings) and Alex (Chris D’Elia), a happily – newly “married” couple.
