M. Night Shyamalan has given moviegoers invading aliens, a kid who sees dead people, and the wind as a villain, and now he’s ready to turn his attention to television. Shyamalan is teaming up with writer/producer Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I Am Number Four) on Proof, a potential series on Syfy involving life after death.

Shyamalan and Noxon will co-write and executive produce the project, with Shyamalan also set to direct the series’ pilot. Proof will be Shyamalan’s first television venture.

He’s currently in post-production on the sci-fi action adventure film After Earth starring Will Smith and his son, Jaden.

The Proof Plot: In Proof, after the tragic accident and sudden death of his parents, the son of a billionaire tech genius offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death.
