Netflix Renews ‘On My Block’ for a Third Season

Netflix has renewed the critically acclaimed coming of age series On My Block for a third season. Season one was released on March 16, 2018 followed by season two on March 29, 2019. Netflix hasn’t announced when we can expect the eight episode third season.

Netflix’s official renewal announcement confirmed Sierra Capri, Jason Genao (The Get Down), Brett Gray (Ardmore Junction), Diego Tinoco, and Jessica Marie Garcia (How to Get Away with Murder) will be returning for the new season. Fans can expect news on additional cast for the upcoming season at a later date.

Filming is expected to take place later this year in Los Angeles. Series co-creator Lauren Iungerich (Awkward) will return as On My Block‘s showrunner. Iungerich also executive produces with co-creator Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft (All Eyez on Me).
