The boy band One Direction continues to dominate the charts and has now set a US chart record. The UK group has taken over the top spot as the “highest selling first week single sales by a UK artist” with their release of “Live While We’re Young.” According to Columbia Records, the first single from the upcoming Take Me Home album debuted on the Billboard Digital Track and Song charts at #1, and its 341,000+ numbers earned it the biggest opening week sales by “a single by a non-US artist ever.”

One Direction will be promoting the upcoming release of Take Me Home with two days of performances of songs from the new album as well as Up All Night at NBC’s The Today show plaza on November 13 and 14. Take Me Home will be released on November 13, 2012.
