Starz just released this behind the scenes photo of executive producer Ronald D. Moore along with the announcement that filming has now begun on Outlander. The series is based on the bestselling books by Diana Gabaldon and stars Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Caitriona Balfe (Claire), Tobias Menzies (Frank Randall/Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall), Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie), Gary Lewis (Colum MacKenzie), Duncan Lacroix (Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser), Annette Badland (Mrs. Fitzgibbons), and Stephen Walters (Angus Mhor).
Filming is now underway on location in Scotland. Starz will premiere the series in 2014.
