The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has announced the nominees in their Documentary Theatrical Motion Picture category, and what’s interesting is that only two their nominees made the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shortlist. On November 18th, the Academy narrowed their list down to 15 films that were eligible for the next round of voting and could be nominated as Best Documentary at the 2012 Academy Awards. Comparing the two lists, only Project Nim and Bill Cunningham made the cut and were included on both.
