The lead singer of Kaiser Chiefs has been chosen as the fourth judge on The Voice UK and will join the judging panel when the singing competition returns to BBC One in January 2014. Ricky Wilson will be taking a seat next to The Voice UK newbie Kylie Minogue and returning coaches Tom Jones and will.i.am.
“Who doesn’t want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue?” asked Wilson. “I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars. I’m just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!”
Added Charlotte Moore, Controller, BBC One: “Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson completes the new line-up for The Voice UK, and its return to BBC One in January is all set to be bigger and better than ever.”
