‘Rings’ Unveils a Creepy New Black and White Poster

Paramount Pictures just released a new black and white poster for the horror film, Rings. The latest addition to the popular horror franchise was directed by F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall) and stars Matilda Lutz (Summertime), Alex Roe (The Fifth Wave), Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Aimee Teegarden (Notorious), Bonnie Morgan, and Vincent D’Onofrio (The Magnificent Seven). Rings is set to open in theaters on February 3, 2017.


The franchise kicked off in October 2002 with The Ring starring Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, and Daveigh Chase. The first film of the series rang up $249 million during its theatrical run and sparked a sequel which hit theaters in March 2005. The Ring 2 didn’t come close to the first film’s box office take, grossing $161 million before exiting theaters. The third film, Rings, was shot in 2015 and is set 13 years after the events of The Ring.

The Plot: A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…
